Part of the Egyptian myth the heart is what held a person’s essence... life force or soul as we know it. When the dead are judged before Osiris the heart was when weighed against the feather of Ma’at. If the heart were found unworthy of the afterlife, the unworthy heart was then fed to the demoness Ammut condemning the wicked soul for all eternity. "

The red tinge at the background seems to reflect Sekhmet’s violent nature as we know it, and the demoness Ammut too! I also liked the blood-red sunlight! It seems to bring an aura of rage that the goddess and demoness seems to covet. Its very good composition indeed! Ancient and modern as one!
